Score an assessment
Score each requirement in a compliance assessment as claimed, validated, a gap, managed or not applicable.
- Who can do this: Contributor · Admin
- In the app: Compliance › Assessments
- 15 min
Score a requirement
- Open Compliance › Assessments and select Open assessment on the framework's assessment. To start a new cycle for a framework that already has one, use + New Assessment, enter a Period and select Create.
- In the guided wizard, find the requirement and select a Mark as … button. Only the moves allowed from its current state are offered: a Not assessed requirement offers Mark as claimed and Not applicable.
- Add Reason / notes (required for Mark as managed and Not applicable), then confirm.
| Score | Meaning | Can move to | Reason needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Claimed | The organisation says it is in place | Validated, Gap, Not applicable | — |
| Validated | Corroborated by evidence | Gap | — |
| Gap | Not in place | Managed, Validated, Not applicable | — |
| Managed | A gap that is contained, not closed | Validated, Gap | Yes |
| Not applicable | Does not apply to your organisation | Claimed | Yes |
The tiles above the wizard use the same words: Verified posture reflects validated requirements, Claimed posture what you have claimed, Assurance gap what is claimed but not validated, and Managed risk the managed ones.
If Compliance › Assessments says No assessments yet, enable a framework first; see your frameworks.
A requirement with maturity levels lists the levels instead: select the one that describes your organisation, then confirm.
Attach evidence before you mark a requirement validated. Scores proposed by the AI Sidekick appear in Actions.
