Verify your domain

Until you verify your main domain, scan results show as totals on every plan, and search, filters and Export wait for it. One verification covers every project in your organisation.

Verify with a code to an admin mailboxCopy Anchor Link

1. Open Assets › Domains. Your main domain is listed; select Show record.
2. Under Send a code to an admin mailbox, choose one of the mailboxes offered and select Send code.
3. Whoever reads that mailbox enters the code and selects Verify.

Where the setup wizard asks you to unlock scanning, it offers the same steps under Verify your domain. A code works for a whole domain, not a host or an IP address.

Verify with a DNS recordCopy Anchor Link

1. In Assets › Domains, select Show record on the domain.
2. Add the TXT record shown at your DNS provider, then select Verify.

Verify another targetCopy Anchor Link

To scan a domain, host or IP address other than your main domain:

1. Select Add Domain, enter the targets and select Add.
2. Publish the record or file shown, then select Verify.
