Compliance - Reporting
Reporting the trajectory upward: the Executive Overview pulls risk register, work in progress and compliance coverage into one document, and approving a new target maturity sets the standing goal until it's changed.
Report the trajectory upward. The board doesn't need three separate exports to see where the programme stands — one document should cover it.
Typical workflow
One document, not three exports
Generate an Executive Overview under Governance → Reports. It pulls together the risk register
position, what's open and completed on the roadmap, and compliance coverage into a single
document, rather than assembling the risk register, the actions worklist and a coverage screenshot
separately before every board meeting.
A snapshot, not an automatic trend
This is a picture of where you stand today, not a computed comparison against last checkpoint. If the board wants to see direction of travel, that's the story you tell alongside the numbers — keep the last report to hand and compare by eye.
You present it, with owners in the room
Present the honest version yourself, with the people who own each control in the room to answer the detail a summary can't cover.
Approving the next target
The compliance sidekick can propose a new target maturity for executives to approve. Once approved, it becomes the standing goal the roadmap works towards, until it's next changed, rather than being scoped to a fixed reporting period.
